-direct is to read files in data folder, is a must have for all NONE english versions to be able to play english
you wont need the switch, cause your d2 is already english

i know it is dark, but this is not the interesting part, i only wanna know if in windowed mode fps and ping is better, or not

this will help analyzing your issue a little bit

Joe, i just made a couple games in window mode..
Pings were 360 and 317, The last on server 2 Chaos Root.
Darn hard to read the info. <SMILE>
Will be on latter with  no -direct or -w.. ???
I hope the pings will be in the low 200's or lower. <Grin>
Still thanking you for all the help.
Been off-line for awhile, been reading some what more than normal.
It's been cold outside and bundled up inside. <Brrrr>
Cold hands make for slow mouse clicks.
Wife finally had me turn on the boiler for heat.
House now 57 Degrees and climbing. <Grin> Natural gas cost big time now. <Frown> <BRRR>

Joe, I have spent the last 2 1/2 hours on-line in Lets Rock.
Disabled Win Patrol and set Zone Alarm Free fire wall to game mode, which leaves the computer at some risk.
Made game, in LR, Server 1 Chaos Root, ping 263..
No other games were on server when I logged on.

I'll now try logging on after DSL reset with everything enabled.

Frank
I live in the mid west which tends to be cold, very cold.
It gets well below freezing and below zero degrees too.
We were kicked off the budget plan this summer because we did not have 1,200.00 dollars to stay on.
We had to pay 1,400.00 to get back on the budget plan, which we finally did by saving on food and gas for cooking and hot water. It was a nasty two months. now the price of natural gas may go down here, which will not affect the payments till the end of the budget year. We may have a credite them.
If your confussed, so am I.

I'v e-mailed Brian too and got no awnser. He was possibaly moving and have other issues.
Thats all I know that I can post. I miss him too.

Hate to change the subject here ............. I am MAD, FRUSTRATED, ti ti ticked off. So you might ask WHY???

Well i recently bought a new printer. Nothing fancy ...  a HP Photosmart C3100 All-In-One.  Had one before worked great until it was stolen (from were you might ask ... from the back of my truck).  The problem started when I tried to install the print cartridges and I even followed the instruction manaul too! The 2 cart. would not seat properly ... just sat there loose! well I tried again and again ... no use .... than I was really starting to get frustrated and was putting alot of pressure on the cartridges and had to stop because I was ready to throw that piece of SH#@*&^ at the wall and stomp on it. Of course I am a mature grown man and decided to contact HP support .... they answered fairly quickly and after I explained what was happening I was told that I would be transfered to a "PHOTOSMART EXPERT" from there I went crazy .... chewing on the table top as I listened to boring music for too long of time.  Now I have to go see a carpenter to have the splinters removed from my gums and have my left incissor plucked from the table top ............ I have no beer to drown my sorry ..... only DIET Mountain Dew and if I did have beer .... no doubt I would get drunk and go buy another printer (i am sure it would be the same) and most likely go though it again.    Has anyone else have a simular problem??????????????     :)

This is truly Michael Jackson who quickly decided to visit our reallifemeeting 10 in Westgermany, trying to hide his nose from the camera.

@Kim Mr Mude da this be Snuffy <smile>

No I don't have that problem, just a wife that can distroy a computer or printer in six months and a mother-in-law that knows how to turn on a computer. I have to play in house IT for them and some friends. Don't even get beer money, just the cast off equipment. <GRIN> Have enough for several linux boxes now, need a few power supplies, thou.

My main problem was that the wife would break a printer hitting it when it would not print.
Her HP 3-in-one printers scare her thou, as I will not replace them since I've had to retire.
They just sit there demanding more ink every three weeks or so. She has to print out all her e-mails.
She does use both sides of the paper. Now all I have to do is get her to just print the body of the e-mails. <GRIN>
Get a better responce from the wall.

Need to take apart three of the old printers to fix up one, then maybe I could print out something. It is really a pain to copy stuff to a floopy to print it. [floopy drive works only when it wants to]

As for teck support calls, she is the worst person to call them, but I can never hear or understand them. [hear about one word in three] So I have to figure out whats wrong. YUCK

You probably had the wrong ink cartridges or put them in the wrong spot. Na you wouldn't. { please don't yell at me] Some of the HP's can use to different model ink cartridges. Also did you use the change ink cartridige utility? It positions the cartridges for replacing. Been awhile since I've had to change them as the wife learned how.

Just funning you,,,,, Hope you got it fixed.

I've also gotten bit by the digg.com bug. It's worse then being a CE Addict. Always some posting new stuff. <Frown> My eyes hurt from reading, reading, reading...

Mr Mud does not need glasses to Whack & Stack. [love that spell check of Fire Fox]

Snuffy is suffering with drawl pains from CE.... Rereading books to get handle on life.
Trying to stay away from Digg.com too. Bleary eyes do not make for good CE play.
Be back on soon I hope.

I wrote him an email a couple of weeks ago, but no response until now.
Maybe he has some issues with his i-net connection...
