Another possibility could be, that only if u leave the realm it takes an image of ur current char.
But thats only guessings, nothing i know for sure.

The higher value thing exsist since 1.10 i guess. Because of the 'low' vaule of uniqs, an ordanary superior elite amrmor could easily have an higher value than ur complete uniq stuff, so u had to be very carefull with something like *safe-my-corpse-gear*.

anyway, ya that must be a new thing from 1.10 because i dont remember it before that, and even tho i have played 1.10 for awhile i guess there are some things i still dont know.
