Torso + Heart = 15-20% LL
Helm + Brain = 40-60% Faster Cast
Weapon + Jawbone = 2,5 Damage  per Level (Cold, Lightning, Fire)
Amulet + Eye = 15-20% ML
Weapon + Horn = 5 Damage per Level (phys. Dmg)
Shoes + Tail = 40-60 Faster Run
Shield + Flag = 2,5 Damage per Level reflected when hit
Gloves + Fang = 40-60 IAS
Ring + Quill = 50-75% MF + 75%-125 Gold + 5 Light
Belt + Spleen = 5 poison Damage per Level for 2 seconds + prevent monster heal............

RARE belt... razortail (unique) wouldn't work for me when I tried it.
Magic belt (blue label) doesn't work either.  It has to have a Yellow or Orange label.

This recipe is only for rare (yellow) items and you have to do the item and three of the above listed bodyparts (depends on itemtyp) in your horadric cube and use it.

You get then a tempered item (green) with the wanted stats.

But some of the newer charspecific items have problems with this, i.e. you can´t temper sorc mirrors.

I tried to temper a rare necro shield (voodoo handbag), 3 flags and the head, nothing happened.  Is this known?  What other temperings don't work?

i only know about the CE-charonly-items like sorc shield, pala helm, druid boots and so on, but i think i remember something about pala-only shields and it doesn't work with tehm either so perhaps it's something with charonly shields....
