If I understand youse guys correctly, a more accurate description of "what I did" would be:
Clean Install (D1/LOD) and upgrade to version x.y
Install PlugY
Install Mod (CE 7.65) and activate
Start playing
Have crash!

If that's accurate, and if you'd stated that this is what you did, we'd have pointed out a lot quicker that you need a "clean virgin D2LOD", upgraded to version x.y, and you'd have been back in business much quicker.

Clean install d2/lod and upgrade to newest version
install mod (CE 7.65 sp3) and activate
Install PlugY
Start playing
Have Crash.

it is already delivered in a special verrsion with ce
