plz help

i only just downloaded chaos empire, first time i installed it it worked perfectly but then after about 2-3 days i started getting the access violation (c0000000005) error which everyone gets. i couldnt find any way to fix it so i tried uninstalling and reinstalling. however now when i got to mod activator it comes up with missing files such as patch.txt and ChaosEmpire.ce. i reinstalled d2+lod, cleaned files completely, upgraded to 1.10 and reinstalled chaos empire and it still doesnt work. whats worse is i can see chaosempire.ce in the D2 folder, the mod activator just wont run it. can anyone help me?

I'm going to guess that you uninstalled without first de-activating.

I think at this point it's probably necessary to re-install D2/LOD from CDs, upgrade to 1.11, and download & install the 7.65SP2 executable.
Then activate, and join the party!

so you play with 1.11 not 1.10? i thought it ran on 1.10 but guess not. thanks alot ill try that

You can have all LoD Patches after 1.07 for installation. The game is based at 1.10 but changes the needed files itself.

Postet at: February 16, 2006, 08:45:39 amhey sorry about this but i have another issue. as soon as my character reaches level 11-12 i can enter my stash. as soon as i click on the stash the game locks up and freezes. i havent been able to fix it and i am sure i installed everything correctly. anyone have any idea what to do? thanks again
