Topic: quest items in act3

Last night, i started act3 and discovered that after starting a new session, i could do the eye of Kalim quest a second time and get the item 2 times. It might be the fact that i stored it in the stash (personnal, not shared).

Also, I was on to the last (the heart i think) and the info in the quest still mentionned where to find the eye, not that last item. I saw that after trying to kill Damien. I hope he does have that last item because even with the valuable elixir, i could not damage him enough to win (he keeps leeching me). For now, i past Damien and went to Khurast.

BTW, I play a paladin in this case (SP).

.. i guess he knows where to find the act 3 quest items.

there is probably a problem with quest items in the stash in  sp-only (it doesnt affect mp), and it doesnt matter if it is the shared or the personal one. i had the same problem a couple of times... but it doesnt worry me cause u know where to find the rest of the items and the quest can be solved without any other problems. (keep them in your inventory and there will be no problem at all, if you feel unsure about it)

damien isnt ment to be killed during ur quest... its like leoric or the butcher in act 1. leave him alone and come back after u killed baal to get the black tower key...

You are right, i once knew where to find all the quest items, but it was many months since I last played LOD. So I was not sure. And with the text for the quest that is not updated with each item found, I had no clue where to find them.  

As for Damien, is there a way to counter the leach effect? Does the prevent healing stat negate or lessen its leach attack?

no. he will still leech. you just can run away or leech yourself. he is made to be a hard monster. you only have to beat him when you want to go to cow lvl. so you should start messing with him if you are 40+

Well if we are talking about these super-dudes. Can you tell me what chimera drops? i killed it quite a few times, but it droped nothing. Probably, because it was on the edge of the map(btw chimera is a severe pain in the ass). Actualy whole 'seven' is serious headache.

chimera drops several uniques most times... but i know the problem that if it sits in the corner you don't get any drop... that sucks a bit...

(I also couldn't find Damien in the 3rd level of the Swamy Pits, but that might have been an error on my part.)

Chimera: go to Horragath, go to where the Barb is cooking over the rotisserie, and run your mouse over the building doors in a manner similar to finding the way to the PVP area or the Secret Passage from the Rogue's Camp.

Damien: Swampy Pit is the place. (not Flayer Dungeon, which has a similar entry and interior decor).

Sure you can.
Try to weaken chimera untill she teleports away. If you're lucky, she teleports outside the small, temple-entrance-like area into the open, where she drops items, when killed, because of the teleport, you cannot "lock" her in the open but you have to kill her in time.

I suppose i can post a screenshot with a chimera drop, if you dont believe me.

U can also try to stun her (if u r able to, e.g. with a crybarb).
That should be the easiest and savest way to kill her AND get the drop, because she(?) is unable to move and/or attack.
