CE fails to load, Win7, the next day

This has been a repeat problem.

Reinstall, D2 LOD, It fails to run, wants smack file. (Win7)

Install CE Mod, activate & runs, after copying patch.txt, BNupdate and an other file. Run CE Mod several time with different characters, closing and opening the MOD.

The next day, CE Mod starts or fails to start. I try & try to activate, restart, etc. Sorry if this is not too clear, I'm having a white nite, 3:00am, woke up at 2:30am. I reinstall everything and CE Mod runs for a day or two. Never had this problem with win 98. Ye4s I have tried to run it in compatibility mod...

Trying something else now!

Did more of the compatibility, 98, service pak 3, administer, etc.

Will try copying a new copy of the Mod Starter to program folder.

Time to reinstall CE Mod! HELP

1:49pm local, update:

Reinstalled everything, clean, D2, D2 LOD And CE Mod.
D2 and D2 LOD will not run. (Who cares about Blizzard programs)
CE Mod installed and ran after jumping through Zone Alarms Security hopes.
The Question is will it still run in a few days....Stay tuned for updates.

Oct 22 2015: Up date,,,

CE Mod, started failed to create game.
Tried to start CE Mod again, failed to start.
Cold reboot, Ce Mod failed to start
deactivated,  activated, Ce Mod failed to start! ! ! !

Windows ten, "Do you want windows ten?" Is this nag doing it? ?
Time to try and reinstall CE Mod with cold reboots.

I feel so dumb!
A new feature of the anti-virus was blocking CE  Mod start up.....Darn!
