Now that Old Joe is drinking beer again, (do cookies taste good with beer) time to introduce him to adult soda pop (beer flavored with fruit, honey, herbs). These beers are for a casual drink now and then, not for a serous bout of drinking. They taste and drink so easy, a twelve pack can puff away in an afternoon. Joe take care, or you might be back on milk & cookies.

Have too many now!
As I started this post, waiting for Diablo III to update, I had a thought that might help players that like to whack & stack like me.
Yes Joe, I'm going to try Diablo III (not happy with the long time spent downloading updates). I did notice that there seems to be open source soft ware used in DIII. I just scan quickly the copyright notices, did not read closely. Does this help with the CE Mod for Diablo III?
OH, the Whack & Stack thought! Is it possible to have a Melee Weapon (I prefer swords) added to the Item Lists:
(Not a rune word or set item.)
Level 14 - 18, +2-3 defense, +1-2 damage, 10%-15% all resistance, 1-3 weapon skill (sword, mace, fail, etc). Nothing real great just better weapon for low (teen) level Whack & Stack players.
Maybe a chance drop, when doing a random quest in Act One POC (not tied to a certain quest).
Now for the hard part; if a player uses the weapon to kill the Boss Monster at the end of each act, the attributes for the weapon increase slightly. Similar, to how a merc levels (I tend to keep my rouge merc through out the game. (Love the one hit ranged kills.) Not a big jump! We don't need to make a supper weapon! This weapon would be for nercs, sorcs, zons, the none melee characters. An Amazon is a poor melee fighter unless skill and stat points are piled on the spear skills destroying (weakening) her ranged attack skills. The jab skill freezes a Zon too much.
Now in Lets Rock and Come and Get Some, the weapon could, ah level up or just drop, in act one. The side affect is that the players would have a new lolly pop to look for while playing. Grin! "No running in the halls!"
"I hate the Rush! It defeats, losses a lot of the game play, pleasure of playing and I'm usually so slow!"
Now Joe for those days when you're hungry; Slow cook a beef brisket. 3-4 LB brisket 4_6 servings
Brown all six sides in a heavy skillet.
Add oil or pure beef lard to slow cooker, medium heat.
Put brisket in slow cooker, you might have to cut brisket in two pieces.
One jar of Salsa, choose your own heat.
Cut up celery, fine.
Carrots
Potatoes whole or quartered.
Beef broth to cover brisket.
Salt & Pepper.
Bar B Que souse.
TBL molasses.
TBL Brown sugar.
A good dash Worcester souse.
Optional, dribble of liquid smoke.
Set heat 250 - 300 degree F
Turn the brisket a few times the first hour or so.
You're hungry, drink beer while the brisket cooks (four to six hours).
You can pass out, nap or have cheese & crackers to go with the beer, Joe. It don't matter, the brisket needs to cook for 4 to 6 hours or till tender. I drank coffee and whacked monsters.
Wake up (you're really hungry now) and enjoy!
Left overs make good sandwiches, sliced cold, tends to meat crumble, it is so tender.
bdpf, bye for now
