Rune words with uniques and set items

So far I have only tried to use the rune words on set/unique items after I add sockets with the perfect gem recipie.  None work.  Is it supposed to?

I guess I want to know if I have a problem with the install/bug with rune words or if it is meant not to work with sets/uniques.

I'm too lazy to find a normal item with sockets to try it out on right now.

runewords work in every item except set and unique items

As stated by so many, rune words DO NOT work in set and or unique Items. Only crafted, rare and magical items do they work.
Take two asprin with plenty of water and check the WIKI clinic

Every post/thread ever could be answered with a "read the wiki".  Why even have the boards at all?

I just wanted a quick answer to a quick question.  I didn't feel like wading through an entire wiki for hours trying to find an answer to something I could get off the boards in minutes.  Sheesh.

the boards are for the questions that are not answered in the wiki and for discussion...

mr-mud is right, but it's not his concern if someone asks stuff that has been asked a thousand times before...

so please leave that to us mr-mud, and jbtilley you could look in the wiki first or use the search button
