Best Merc for Psychic-trap assassin? Also, what is heaven facets?

I see heaven facets in runeword items like Shadowtrick and Humility.

Heaven Facets are jewels with +1 to all Skills and +5% Life and Mana.
RW Items can never be socketed a second time so you have not seen it in a Humility-Armor :P

In response to the other half of the topic line:

I've got an actIII cold merc, and I'm rather happy with him.

I figured it this way:  Anything that was not Immune to Physical *and* Immune to Magic would die rather quickly from my psychic hammer.  If the monster was IPhys and IMagic, I'd kill it with lightning (from Death Sentry) and Fire (from Death Sentry) so Cold and Poison were the only "elements" that wern't represented in my barrage. I covered poison when I made my CtA (in a scepter) to be my Blade Fury weapon, and dose it with the Venom skill.  It has Monster Flee and Prevent Monster Heal, so even weak poison will suffice over time, and level 20 Venom isn't exactly 'weak'.  So I got an actIII cold merc, and equipped him with Baal's Claw (Holy Freeze) Kingpin's Harlequin Crest, a HotO, and other gear focussing on FCR, +skills, and +cold damage/-enemy cold resists.

He's only annoying in the Cow Farm where I want to hork the corpses, and he leaves very little to hork.

I'm about to use a3 merc too soon.
Should be best, cuz other mercs wont do any other dam than phys that easily.

I´m using a act 1 merc cause of the sanctuary aura (i play hardcore and had bad issues with skellarchers in the past at hell). Here you can choose between fire and ice, i preffer fire because ice leaves you most time without a corpse for the deathsentry.

If you have the unique charm with freezes target, you also have a good chance to pierce random immunities of enemies, therefor i don´t miss the cold damage at this time. I´m a1 start of hell at the moment.
