what to put in rings and ammy

This is a silly question but I didn't want to waste a zod and suicide doll if I messed up. What should I put in my rings and ammy for resists. If I remember correctly a zod gives resists in one but not both. Please enlighten me on this.

Amu works like a shield, so a zod would give max res and prisma.
Rings work like weapons, so a zod would give eledmg.
(Belt is like an armor -> zod for maxlife and mana)

Since rings count as weapons, dont waste an Um rune trying to make it add resist, it will add Open wounds, i found that out the hard way, the only way i know of to get resist on rings from a socket, is a + to resist jewel, as for amulets, since they count as shields, an Um rune would add great Resistance, where as a Zod rune would add resistance, a little less then um, but it also adds to max resist (so it can pass 75).
