Why is everything else socketable?

I'm running 4.50 ver SP and I have used some charactors for D2 LOD mod with some fancy socketed quivars & bows to match the helm & armor, Stone Gaurd. They still take alot of hits to make heavy kills. Bosses take 5 to 10 minuts to kill.

The mod seems to modify the hit points up for heavy hiters.  (:-:).

Gloves & boots not socketable!@#$^%(*&^&)(+****

Or my copy of 4.50 ver buged.

Umm if you look at it in real life terms, one can use one gem to fill up one socket on a real bow. But in order for the gem attributes to be imparted to the arrows/bolts etc. each arrow woould need to be a socketed arrow and each would require a gem. Not to mention what adding gems to a projectile like an arrow or a bolt will do to its flight characterisitics.

Plus if you say, we wil socket the quiver the quiver is having the attributes of the gems and not the arrows.

I feel the scheme is fine as it is. :P

but if u say the quiver is magic and enchants the arrows with its own abilities?

this is my opinion and other people to...
               Ideas for socketing in later versions
    Arrows -  socketable  but runes gems have less effect on them  - can be gamble
    boots n gloves - socktebal  runes gems have normal effect on them

Tophead:
when boots and glvoes would be socketable the game would be too easy, then the resistancen should be reduced and monster should get more hp
