Crafted (ORANGE) items help
« on: June 01, 2005, 11:37:43 am »
Hi there, i just noticed that runewords work in crafted (orange) items ... and this seems very interesting.
The only problem is i don't have and can't find a list of crafted item recipes so if some1 can help me out somehow with a list or a link it would realy realy be great. Thanks

the names of the runes should be exactly the same in german and in english diablo :)

btw valley rune is tal rune :)

you only have to find a way to translate the item names

also if you are looking for a special recipe i can translate it for you

well - i wouldnt know what to look for :P  i cant see what items are being used... so i wouldnt know where to look to say 'i want that one' :)

my char is sorceres.  i love battlestaves & gothic plates - dont know the elite forms of these...

if there's a recipe for those items (elite) that would b nice - exceptional & superior would be great too ;)

Drow, thx for the link. I  somehow translated the most of the recipes even because they'r based on 1.08 ones that every1 can find @ diabloii.net . The only problem is with the item types that in most cases are changed from 1.08 standard, at least the claw ones use different weap types. I guess some items can be translated easely but for the others...well we better start testing XD.

But a difference to the old craft recipes is: you need a rare juwel for all crafts except the special weapon crafts.

Can crafted weapons and imbued with a rune word also be "tempered"?

I made a runeword highlander belt and tried to temper it with spleens and it didnt work.  Any idea why?

Tempering appears not to work with class-specific items.

I have tried & failed with flags on a necro shield
I have heard (Drow Elf) that Pally shields don't work, and from another (don't recall) that Sorceress shields don't either.

It stands to reason that barb belts and pally hats etc won't take a tempering either.

However, it DOES work on Amazon-only bows!  So, who knows exactly?

the problem isn't that tempering doesn't work with charspecific items but that tempering only works on rare items :)

and about the bug with the classspecific items... we don't know exactly what's the problem there :(

I agree Tempering should work on Magic as well as Rare items; I wouldn't mind it working on Set and Unique items also (even at half strength), but I wish for too much.

I used a rare Necro shield (voodoo handbag), and the flag tempering formula failed.  Too bad.
