what merc for a sommenner necro

should i use a act 2 fanta merc or act 5 conviction merc
also  can melee characters beat CE if so what character without what skills

You don´t need a blocker i think and so i would take a rogue (sanctuary aura) or a act3 merc with an additional  damagetyp. Fanatism you can get over uniques or runewords which you might equip yourself or your merc.

Also a Item with thorns aura will be very helpful.

well perhaps he doesn't need a blocker but also he doesn't need additional range-attack power from an a3 or a1 merc imho

what he needs is a might/fana merc with as much auras as possible, bramble + bul kathos belt for example, fana or concentration weapon and so on to support the skeletons

i myself have got a a2 fana merc and ill equip him with conctration aura and u could give him shadowtrick than uve got convicton aura equipped , too

i have a prayer merc...still in hell i don't lose skeletons...he uses beast and the might ring...i like him ;D

The best for my Necro is a act 5 merc (conviction) with Beast and Holy aura armor... And ofcourse Ur necro with Call to arms (Battle Orders)  :s513:
