Amazon javelin problem

Hello, I am trying to socket amazon javelins with perf gems, but it is only possible to go to 3-4 when item is normal, but only 1-2 when it is rare/tempered. Is it intended or bug? Can't use most runewords that way...

Yes, works only on WHITE (normal items), does not work on YELLOW/DARK GREEN (rare/tempered). As I said, making sockets in anything other than normal quality makes max 2, is it normal or something wrong with my game?

There is no difference between white or rare ect. Items.  It depends on the ITEM-LEVELof the Item.For example: Crest of Avalon Ilvl 18 can have only 3 sockets
A Crest with Ilvl 99 can have 4 sockets

hoerby is correct it does not matter if its normal/rare item its all about what lvl the item is i just tampered and socket a pair of javas 10 mins ago both were lvl 40 so i got 3 sockets
