I'm using Version 7.69 with a upgrade 771c

got it to work but now i cant get on line it just keeps saying unable to identify version on Bnet and open.

i havent played in so long i 4got what to do any help??

run the realm.reg at the d2 directory and  chose chausempire as gateway

Secand:the d2 directory is the diablo 2 folders right? if so then its not in there.

i went got the BnetRegEiditor and it says chaosempire is on there n its on my gateway selection in the game so where else chould it be at?

ok i chouldnt run it but i chould merge it to the regristy and it still comes up with unable to id the version when i try to connect to the sever

AND i did have that file in there.

Do i go to open Bnet or reg Bnet?

you need install the 7.69 after you need activated the chaos empire after is open you quit

you install the update 7.71c
you have a folder open for play in english your chaos empire
after you look you can
you can't up in server make the realm with your gateway editor in diablo 2 > choose add gateway
                                                                                                                       
Name: chaos Empire

Zone: -1

Ip: ccc.chaosempire.net

took set to choosen gateway

after try to up and playing with fun

OK i did what u said with NEW install of D2 lod and chaos Empire Mod.

in stalled D2 Lod then installed 6.69 the activated it then updated to 7.71c went in my Gateway editor found chaos empire already in there changed the name of it to Chaos Empire the Ip was right the time zone wasn't so i changed that and i got a PING out of it of 120 so its working?

i open the game choose Gatewat Chaos core community and all is good intell i get to checking versions then i still get the unable to identify the version  ill keep trying tho i have put 8 hours in this game already and i haven't got to play on-line yet                 what patch version do i need and i read somthing about cheaking the version in proporties on the game.exe??                Thx 4 Helping

Hey chaos i got a question i did get it to go on line 1 time but it was without the mod activated i was on reg D2 Lod but i chouldn't join any games and when i did activated the mod it wouldn't let me get on line again it said the same thing unable to id the version but i all so seen where u type in another forum that u go to the game.exe right click n go to properties and the version should match the version i installed but it didn't I'm trying to use the 7.69 with 7.71c update AND I DID MAKE A ACCOUNT SouljaUSA BUT WHEN I LOGED OFF IT WHOULDNT LET ME BAK ON AT ALL SAID I HAD THE WRONG PASSWORD ANY IDEA ON THAT??

You are not using the files from 7.71c, those would give the values listed above

vanilla lod will be able to join, as we have had a vanilla realm before, but your version is an outdated version of ce

if you cna start chaosempire in singleplayer
close the game and copy over the 771c files over the installed files of 769

With D2 Lod Chaos Empire Mod Activeted I get to checking version the i get a error saying unable to identify the version....
