Topic: way to hell

on single player ive now played through the way to hell about 5 times.... each time getting more than 1/2 way done and A: computer crashes B:diablo crashes C: host leaves lan game.... ((tried 3 times w/o LAN 2x w/ a friend helping))
anyway after plenty more than 12 hours of looking for "the king is dead" and probably more searching the forums and translating through google: im totally stuck >> any suggestions or a download i can get that part of the quest done from?
((tried w/ 3 differect characters as well))
tried the cheat download from site, didnt have cain quest items.

In the "cheat package" are 2 crafted charms. One is to upgrade your teddy and the second has portal charges to "Tristram", "The Way Of Hell" and "The Cow Level". Use it in town in act1 to open the portals.

i really believe that the charm is only working outside of act1 town..

i suggest opening in pvp area..no monsters..
