chaous empire activator error

you dont have the original game.exe, it seems you used a hack program, loader for example

diablo2+lod is very cheap, you can buy it, and support that way blizzard..so they will hopefully do a diablo3

As mentioned by Chaos himself, you need D2+LOD, not just D2.
It must be a "legitimate virgin" copy, unmodified by keygenners, NoCD cracks, and etc.
The reason is both technical and ethical: The Community (rather intensly) hates cheating.

On the technical side, editing a binary executable is similar to performing surgery in the dark.  Things *must* be right where you expect them or the surgery fails.  The C.E. Mod is an edit of the executable.  There must be NO changes to it from NoCD etc.

However: DaemonTools and other methods to create a "software/virtual" CD work and are supported without complaint; after all, you have to have the legitimate disk and key to install and run.
