Problem with SP3

Hi All  I downloaded and installed the SP 3 update and now my game will not launch (start) on my computer !!  Before I installed the SP 3 , my game loaded from (Quick Launch bar) just great, NOW it does nothing!
       
I need to know what happened, so I can play my game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its a really little update, only few map changes, and the port change from 7601 to 4001 for online gaming

also sp3 is now with a browser open at start(like sp2 from 2nd day and above)

My browser never did open with SP 2. My wifes does but her update was installed the next day. Did I get an earlier version of SP 2, and could THAT be the problem?? If so, HOW do I fix it?

sp2 of first day, was without that function, one day after it has had.
sp3 has it from bein..

i only wanna know what happens, if you deactivate/activate mod..and then answer YES to message...if browser opens..and shows any page..ok..if not..we are little step closer to your issue

NO  says patch D2  messed up and will Not deactivate

how about copy the complete d2 folder of your wife...to your machine(rename/delete your old)

tried again it  and the box came on screen that states  ( Missing or Doubled )  Patch D2 mpq

I finally got everything deleted (D2 LOD and CE) I had a real problem because 2 of the CE files would not delete (said file was in use. So I reset computer back a week (system restore) and started over. Now I have D2 LOD working and installed CE version 7.55, then upgraded to 7.64.
My question is : How do I get version 7.65, because the newest update is based on having 7.65 already installed, right?

OR can I install the most recent 7.66 version.

I am stuck until I know the answer, I been at this all night!

deactivate CE
deinstall CE

install new ful version 766sp3.exe
activate

Postet at: April 27, 2006, 11:07:35 amWell that didnt work!! I deactivated and uninstalled CE and tried to install 7.66 sp3 from the .exe file I just downloaded. All it does is show the presetup bar and then it just turns off

Howdy truck driver.    What I did: deactiviate CE, move the patch.txt file onto desktop, deinstall CE, download 7.66 sp3, moved patch.txt back into d2 folder, installed 7.66 sp3 into d2 folder.

when starting CE the forum window pops up and i have to close it and reclick CE again, CE forum pops up again than CE mods starts .... do not know why but playing is not problem.
