Topic: Whats your best merc combo ?

Im searching for differ combos to try out.
Do any of you got any experiences on how to really do some ownage dmg, perhaps as a team or just alone ?

My current combo is a 95 psn necro, doing about 150k/2s with the nova. My weap is a Doom rw which gives the huge freeze aura around me.
Merc: act 2 Offencive w/botd eth warpike and a Shadow trick for the lvl25 defiance. And chiads halo to extend the Freeze aura just for the hell of it
Golem: Metal made out of a "Last Wish" rw. Which gives my merc the bonus.

In combat mode he gives about 6.2k-27.2k

Cant seem to find out a way for a merc to give more than that.

I could really use some info on how to really build up a act1, cause whenever i try it they always seem to suck at the dmg dealing part first, and then die quickly in the heatt of battle. Any advice ?

don't be too proud of your merc damage, it isn't that much

first of all, chiad's halo on your merc does NOT improve your holy freeze aura, it would only work if the merc would wear the doom weapon

why your act1 merc dies, i don't know, mine lives and lives and lives^^

i think it would be much better to give your merc a last wish weapon (damage is nearly the same, also you got much cb), make your golem out of a doom weapon and for yourself take a weapon which improves your own skills better than the +2 allskills from doom

i don't know about the other equipment on your merc, but here is what i would suggest

armor: shadowtrick is ok if you need the defense, if you don't take fortitude for merc dmg or humility if you need resistances

diva set is always good for damage, or any other rings/ammys you have will do

belt and helmet: blood for damage and damage reduce and life

gauntlets: something with ias, or bloodyearn for life
boots: ubers (if you got them ), lysian eyecatcher

hehe, could you top the dmg ?
I know it could besomewhat greater with another ring and armor, such as fortitude and Golem might, but still.. Im playing my merc the safe way but still having the dmg good up, cause ive learned that way less than his armor or going into other ways such as most dmg.

To explain the ring, its actually mainly for the fun of it as to see him wonder off alone without my freeze aura to help him/ this is where it comes into action, when hes too far from me he freeze them him self and own afterwards
Besides with the Chiads with a 15/40/15 in its not half bad 

Just wondering, what character do you play ?
And what would be the most dmg you've ever seen on a character without any "uber" items on ?

A 95lvl POC rouge in LR with rune worded bow, armor doing over 10k dmg with poissin dmg on top of freeze, fire, & lighting.

The Zon does much more dmg

Jewels, tempering oils and rune words are uised to the best effect.
The gets the best weapons / armor and is a bobs killer.
And has aruas she earned with her lvl.

Thats just the the best in a long line of Rouges.

And the zon's vikie makes a perfect stocking horse.

i definitely know my merc had much more dmg, although he was wearing ubers, but even without them you can have much more

i am playing sorc most of the time, and my mercs normally survives everything except some mean fana or conc bosses

Oltimo, what type of merc do you have? Ice/fire ... ??

uhh 13.5-56.2k NOW quite insane dmg for a a2 offencive

The stuff i use:
LastWish - Thunder maul 429-2153k dmg
Uber gloves ring and amu
Lysianns Boots
Fellowships hope w/15/40/15
King Conans rule helmet w3*15/40/15
A fortitude
And a IK belt with 2*15/40/15

Just pondering, do anybody know how to gain more dmg ?

Cast Amp Dmg on mob before wacking....

I forgot to say this is with lvl 17 Might aura and a2 merc fana aura. and aura from lysianns boots And ofcourse with a enchant from uber belt

Just watch out for Iron Maiden with all that damage ^.^

@ Darkkatgirl, hehe yea i know.. but well, i usually run in front of my merc to take the dmg on my bone armor aswell as fireing my nova into the midst of the enemies
So before he can strike with the maiden on they have cast yet another curse to take its place. And might i add my merc have never ever been the victim of Iron maiden, tho that might just be luck
