wenn dies bei allen so ist, waere dies doch eine loesung...foerdert nebenbei dann auch das man sich die gamelisten anschaut und evtl passende games joined , das spart server ressourcen

I'll try that... count to 20 slow before typing anything in the Join screen.
Does anybody else have trouble getting the game started? My machine hangs cold (power-off needed) many times, trying to start the game. I don't know how to "slow that down" and (@chaos) I don't know if anything in the Mod could slow down the startup actions to see if it's timing related....

only idea is, that the new map in tristram gets loaded due to start, but this means, that only act1 char will get the issue, so if you are in act2, create ne w game, you shall start in act2..without issues...
if this is the way..the only fix would be removing new tristram..
but..before thinking about that..somebody may be able to test this theory
btw, it seems that only some people have the uissue, and others not...isnt it?

komisch, ich hab nur die dropsore geaendert..ueber die menge an annis wird sich beschwert..das diese menge identisch der soulstones ist...hmm komisch ueber so viele ss hat sich nie einer vbeschwert....
ss sind schwerer zu bekommen...
aber auch bei den hexen nach wie vor möglich

I'll test this also, (get two characters that load into act 2, then switch between them fast).
I doubt this issue covers the hang-on-start problem, because it's before logging into battle.net, or even before chosing online-vs-sp.
I had this hang-on-start problem just after joining (about a year ago), and it went away after a while. I thought it might be the video card (Matrox Millenium G450), does anybody else use this card? Does anybody have a hang-on-start with a different video card? Am I the only hang-on-start victim?
(there should be a trial before any hanging, but my computer doesn't know "due process" from a bit bucket)

another thing i recognized since during new version building
logout of d2 takes much longer..probably this is the time, you have also in online game,s but dont see this hang..
