CE 7.63 Bug -> pls help :)

Here is my problem - After reinstalling the whole game i installed CE 7.55 and the game started perfectly, than i updated it to 7.63 and the following message appeared - game.exe - corrupted file. I deactivated the mod and D2:LOD started without any problem. So am i making a mistake with the install or the update is damaged ? Please reply

no, but you use a modified game.exe probably a loader..so you need to use a clean one

How did you verify that the 7.55 started correctly? Single Play?  Just trying to make sure we're on the same page...
I've had Windows (98SE) mess up files without explanation, and have had to re-install applications and drivers before...

So: You started with a clean install of D2LOD version 1.10?
Then installed the CE 7.55 Mod?
Then activated it?
Then played it (probably single-player, I don't know of a game server running 7.55)?
Then over-wrote files from the 7.63 .zip file (without de-activating mod)
Then 7.63 failed to run? (game.exe corrupted)
But if you deactivate the mod D2LOD runs fine (single player since battle.net is now 1.11)?
==>What do you do for the LOD CD in the drive while you play

I unzipped 7.63 when i DEactivated the mod... 7.55 runs fine, yes i played in single game to be sure, and yes i started with a clean version of d2lod 1.10... yesterday i again reinstalled the game and installed CE 7.55, and then 7.63 and now ther arror is that the chaosempire.mpq is corrupted... i'm running out of ideas.. someone please help if can :(
