Interesting bug...
« on: February 04, 2005, 10:11:38 am »
Something interesting happened after I patched, not sure if it's because I messed up patching at first.

I tried patching to 7.51 after first DEactivating CE. Only later did I realize the readme.txt was not the same information as the readme.htm in the zip... After three tries of uninstalling CE and reinstalling it again, I got it working.

Once I had gotten back into the game (single player), I noticed something strange with my gem bags:

Each had around 41-54 perfect gems, though I had less than 10 in each before I upgraded. Stranger still, is that if I had any gems of other qualities in the bag, ie flawed and chipped, there would also be near 35 of each quality level. So, as an example, some bags now had a total of:

(roughly)
41 perfect, 35 flawless, 35 normal 31 flawed, 30 chipped gems.

If there were more than a pair of the lower quality gems in the bag, I couldn't add anything else until I first removed the sets of lower gems. Takes a while...

All seven gem bags have this "problem", or unexpected bonus I suppose.

This "bug" is allready known and u can see it as u said as an unexpected bonus ;)

I think even Chaos called it a "littel bonus"
It's just one of those days
Where you don't wanna wake up
Everything is f****d, everybody sucks.
You don't really know why
But you wanna justify rippin' someone's head off
No human contact
And if you interact your life is on contract
Your best bet is to stay away mo****f****r!

The only thing is that I have to remove about 70-140 gems per bag, one by one, and transmute those before I can use the bags again. Argh!

I wish there was a feature so you could right click on a gem bag, and it empties all the gems it can into the stash. Then again, with a full gem bag, that would be a ton to accidentally "spill"...

Thanks a lot for the responses! I figured this might have been already covered in the bug forum, but I do not speak German.
