Topic: Items lost from cube on exit

It has happened twice now. I lost items that I had in the cube after I exited the game. The 1st time I was muling and just thought I might not of picked them up.

This last time I put items in the cube and exited from stony field. The Items were missing when I strated a new game in Lets Rock.

I'm running a 58 lvl sorce, the name of the game was LR Act 1 kill andy, I believe.
"Help kill andy" In the discription field.

I know the items are gone. Just thought you would want to know of the bug.

It is a known 'bug', if your char, stash and cube are more or less full of items. Especially when the items have many 'lines', like rare sc's, runes, rw's aso...
The (oil)barrels and (gem)bags are also items, which take much resources.

Each char can only hold 8kb of data, everything above that limit can't be saved. So if your char is 'full', anything new he have when you leave the game is lost in a new game (when you leave your actual game).

There is a list somewhere (sorry, don't have the link atm) which shows, if your char is near/has reached this limit.

So if this is the problem, try to mule/sell some items to lower the size of your char.

There is an addume to the bug report:
My skill and spill points were reverting to a prevuse settings.
The items that were lost were big items;
body armor, large two hand staff, a couple bows, etc
I use the barrels, gags, etc.

I know about the file size limit.

This seems to happen also when I die. <grin>

Since I'm playing from the United States, maybe there is some kind of lag envoled.

i do try to the stash and inventory fairly clear but the use of charms makes it hard.

This is the only character to have this problem. It is also the highesat lvl.

My Zon has the same level of items in the stash and inventory but is not yet in Lets Rock.

Was just an idea...

But it seems that u have a different problem than the char size.
Hopefully someone else can help u out of it.

A_SorcOfBeauty (matches the level and almost all characters from *bdpf start with "A_") 

http://chaosempire.info/8k.txt used to show which characters hit the limit, but it still displays the same old characters from the free/public realm.
Since that realm no longer exists, would it be possible to have that link display the same info for the "new" realm?

currently 7554 bytes big..so only 500 bytes of limit..not much space...

I have muled out more items & consoiledated runes, keeping just what I need for rune words.
The charms a a ongoing problem.
I will then see if the bud on the stats continues..
The lose of some good items sadins me.
