 Hey guys im haveing a problem with starting up ce. I have the full thing installed (diabloII and LOD also) but for soem reason when i click on _play chaos empire to start it up it doesnt do anything... my mouse turns into the disk for a bit as if its going to load the game but it doesnt ever start, i have tried reinstalling like 5 times at least an it always does the same thing, anyone help?

remove any hack and cheat programs, this should help

Well, ill give it a check, but i dont believe i have any.  I didnt believe in using them on LOD even so i dont see why'd i would have any...

After your description this is the mostlikely reason.

Do you use a no-cd loader? These are not allowed and will created a problem like you have written.

You have to use the original cd or a virtual cd (image) to play Chaos Empire.

nope, unless somthing was install on my comp without my consent, I use nothing but the original disks...Somthing else i was thinkin on this subject, ive reinstalled around 7 times for CE so im sure by now the main directory doesnt have any hacks in it, but are there any that can run from external directories of there own?

Does your browser open with this forum's startpage when you start Diabo II CE? If not, this could be your problem. Look for stringent firewalls/popup blockers/security software etc.

No, the browser does not open, I run windows XP, if it is a firewall casuign the problem where would I look to disable it?
