How interesting is your game play ?

Want to make it more of a challenge ?

After you reach lvl ten, try not using all of your stat & spell skill points. 

On-line this can be a real challenge. I would not recomend it for a Hard Core player.

No I don't play Hard Core. <grin> I make too many typo's. Hitting the wrong key gets me killed to easy.

Also It would bne nice if on-line players stop and smelled the flowers. Okay thats wird, try using the Find skill more.
Going a little slower thru the game, increaces your exprence, and insures that you will kill the boss monster of your current quest.  CE, Joe, Hans and the whole modding crew worked hard to enable the find sill for the doll stash. <smile> They made this a great Mod.

Of coarse, if the Find skill was converted to Find Item, the stile of game play might change.
Players would be picking flowers for thier beaty and smell. <LARGE GRIN>  HINT for Joe.

Okay, so what do you think of this little challange?

ahhh ... I smelled a venus fly trap once and of course I had to wear a band aide for awhile.

my barb "mud" he was lvl 15 when I started using skill points.

A barb is a very strong character. I have a sorc, A_SorcOfBeauty, in the mid  forties level with retarted stat & skill points. So have u run a sorc like me ?

try to play iron man..never go town, if not quest related, and! use only things, you found(or your partymember)

Heh, my barb was level 21 when i started putting stats/skills, but he had a full artic set, so it was easy
And when i played vanilla, Iron man was like a tourney, 8 players started a new hardcore character (the organizer chooses some kind of tag to be put in the names, so he knows everyone is really creating a new char) and they play together until a chosen level above 9 (the most common were 9, 12 and 18) and when everyone reaches that level they go out of the rogue encampment and duel to death, the survivor is the champion, and gets the prize (from the organizer, or the entry fees when there were entry fees) you're allowed to gamble and buy things from vendors, but you cant use any kind of muled stuff, and cant go past the chosen level. They were a lot of fun xD

Beleave it or not this is the first time I ever heard of any form of Iron Man., after all the time playing any form of Diablo.

The Old Gummy learns some thing new / wrinkle of D2LOD CE Mod. <GRIN>

Still runnig sorc with 78 stat & 20 skill points unused. Killed baal, too. Using only items found or given. Noe 47 lvl.
Have been insulted by a youg clown saying Ice Orb don't kill, ha ha.
Ice Orb is a fast cast, covers large area and gives bonus to Snow strom, for Bosses or mobs.

Faster casting, Fire Ball, doesn't do as much damage, adds bonus to Meteor.

Chain Lighting, shows more damage in skill tree but does less or have little effect, doesn't stop (freeze) monsters.

I Must admit I did recive a well trickedout, Jarad's Stone, 3+ sorc skill, tempered, and with the rune word Truth.
I must thank the donor again very much, thank you very much. <grin> Does 1300+ dmg but is fragile till it gets oiled.

Armor changes as much as the weather here North of Chicago, ILL in Fox Lake.

Secondary weapon can vary, cross bow, bow, javlain, sword, (do miss the mage sword I had in an other mod, could be thrown like throwning Knife, be socketed, coming in all flavors) balanced axe, 2 handed swords rarely with out most exterm armor and don't for get the 2 handed sorc staff.

now that I braged alot, well some, <Grin>  I will wait for more replies to this thread.

As to where I live, there is a certain lack of players on-line when I be on-line even thou I veried my sleeping habits.
The most at one time in the wea hours was nine. That is the Europine server. The US players are thin aponed the ground, which is sad.

Yeah I heard about the IRON MAN tourny .... use only items found and the "ref" would be a very high clvl and would "kill" anyone cheating right on the spot.  That game the players had to be lvl 9 only  and the winner would get a uber item worth keeping.

In CE i think the zon or necro would have the upper hand if played here

The character limit per account ist set to 16 as far as i remember.

Sometimes Diablo2 shows not arrows for scrolling, push the down arrow key to test.

And now for a more interesting game / play idea.
Joe just loves these, ideas. <SMILE & GRIN>

Four and one half hours to rest. [Just had to say that.]

This sujestion involves the doll stash and skills it gives.
It lets you find potions, souls, etc, but not items.

Around 105 dolls in stash, it goes from a 7th lvl item to 36th lvl item.
[I'm probably wrong about when the dooll stash level requirerment changes. Just pushed a zon's stash past 108 dolls, no change in level. I rememeber it changing for my sorc and had to scramble to lvl her up. Maybe Joe will be able to clear theis up.] Edited by bdpf @ 6:09pm my local time...


With this change or instead of, could the skill Find item be added.
This is the first part of the sugestion.

This next part is wicked / nasty and would requir a player to look for two words. [bread slices]
"I search" & "I have searched"
Now the need for them, tie them into the requirment for the end of game.
Like you woud need to have in inventory to kill Baal. <Nasty GRIN>

Now Joe is going to say there is no room in the code, to impelment this.
I just a little thought that might change the end game and help clean up the new end game quest.

An other binafite wouild be to let the non barb players find items as they wack monsters. [oops spell, sorry]
Runes could be found more easily, higher end items. Sorry not familar with the radom drop code . file, Joe.
Maybe tied back to the gable code section. (call to ?)

I'm not a program, basic was the far as I got. OH back then I had no gray hair. <Smile>

Yes you sould make, morph, transmute things in the cube.
Rune worded Items, will oiled & tempered items mkae your character, stronger, more deadly & abled to resist damage from the monsters your wacking.

To do this morphing on-line is harder than in SP play. Sp is a Good place to try your hand at this.
Just remember the higher lvl your character is, the better is your chance to get what you want.
Just like in gambling. <SMILE>

Use your Higher level characters to make items for your lower cjharacter.
DON'T FORGET GET TO PASS ON THE GOOD STUFF TO OTHERS, WHEN YOUR DONE WITH THEM.

The great on-line ppl have helped this old man get back up to speed with items they no longer needed.
This is what makes this Mod so great. The great ppl that play on-line.

Now I need to raise up a Pally or Durid to a higher level.

You groan and get a drink, ryo, trying to calm down.
You light you cigerate as your informed that you lost your connection.

Yot tab to the forum screen and surf a little to see if the DSL still works. It does.
Now you restart D2LOD CE and hope you get connected.
Your connected [wonders will never happen] and try to rejoin your lonely game.
It's long gone, so you make a new one, wacking & stacking..<Grin>
