hi all,
dodge gives u chance to dodge a melee attack while standing still or moving
avoid gives u the chance to avoid a missle attack while standing still or moving
evade gives u the chance to avoid a melee or missile attack while standing still pr moving
what i want to know is would it be wise to max all 3? or just evade? keeping in mind im making a valkeria synergie with spear and fend myself
-
Imho it's not even useful to put one point into that skill. If u block they will lead u into a 8 frame Block animation and if there are Enemies around u u wont be able to do anything.
If u really need the Valk u have to put one point into them even though.
-
mmm this build has taken a drastic change in direction now
-
Actually Valk is nice to have and if you max her and decoy and get your valk around lvl 60 or better she is damn tough. And you decoy is even stronger. I would say for the defensive skills I would put one point in each until you get your gear and see what lvl they are with your plus to skill gear and anni and SS and so on. If I was gonna max one i would max the one that dodges while you attack. Good Luck!

k well thanks for the help people il post in my early 80 or 90s saying how it has gone with the new mastery
-
@chaos: would it be possible, that the number of frames (atm 8) u need for the dodge/evade ... animation is reduced if u have enough faster hit recovery ?
-
1. Do NOT use fend
2. Do NOT use d/e/a as melee
Two rules, there is nothing else you can do wrong ^_^
If you like to, i can give you a short guide for a twohand-melee-ama but still give you enough space for own decisions!

Aleksa, what's your experience with d/a/e for a purely ranged zon?
Bow (guided/strafe/freezing) or LF (BU to you) ranged attacks only?
My question is whether the Valk is a bonus greater than the d/a/e is a disadvantage for a ranged-only zon.
-
@aleska short guide would be nice :)

Can answer this ; )
I played both Chars, LF ama (Java/Frost) and Bow (Multi/Frost).
On both Chars the Skills are not very useful, cuz u can't attack anymore the most times u get hit.
With Bowie it's a bit better to play with them as when playing Java but not perfect.
If u don't need the Valk DON't Skill them.

Okay, give me 24-30hours and you will find your (short) guide in the guide-section (surely in english^_^ )
I completely agree with shin and want to add, that diva-set, humility-runeword and maybe something else less useful also give +wally. So you can play with wally in the late game without skill dodge, avoid, evade :)

Sounds like: you'd recommend to make Valk (Wally) independent of D/A/E skills, perhaps dependent (if being dependent on anything is necessary) on C/P/P (Critical Hit, Penetrate, Pierce).
-
Yes most ppl would recommend that i think : D
Maybe just get the Skills out of the Ama Skilltree.
-
Replace D/A/E with Throwing Mastery (from Barb), Venom (from Assassin) and what else? I'd pick Fade or Oak Sage.
-
throwing? im going with spears 2 handed melee :) so id go with spear mastery
