I said Yes to the download prompt, but upon clicking "Access The Chatroom" there is an error:
Unable to connect: java.net UnknownHostException : ccc.chaosempire.net
and that's all that happens.

what versin of java plugin do you have?

Sun?

I use Sun 1.5.x at the moment, works perfectly

From work (possible firewall issues) I have WinXP Pro SP2 (dell)
Java 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition 1.4.2_03
Default virtual machine version 1.4.2_03-b02
java Plug-in 1.4.2_03

Upgraded download to 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_02-b09)
Error message now is "Unable to connect: java.net.ConnectException : Connection timed out: connect."

I will edit this with data from home machine... win98SE

I think that you are right that this on your pc at work is a firewall issue.

I am getting the following error message definitly depending on our firewall at work.

normally irc runs on port 6667
mostly blocked in comapnys

hopefully your ccc account is like your forum acc..if not, you wont be able to connect.... :)

/msg NICKSERV identify HereYourCCCpassword

would work if webwalker is your acc name on ccc too(which is stated in TOS :) )
