Hi
only posting I have problems does not help anybody
Crying and blaming me wont help either
Anyone having an issue after Port7502 change (and that a really often happend change) post here:
PC Configuration
CPU/RAM/OS is minimum what is needed
All machines at my home have Win XP SP2 german/english
256-2048mb
500-2400mhz
and in those configurations it runs..
i dont use windows internet sharing, my router does not block any outgoing traffic
7502 is not opend for icoming (i dont play open games)
Copy conmtent oof zip into d2 folder, when ce is activated, run md5.bat
compare your values with this one:

I'm running Windows XP home edition, 2002 w/ service pack 2 installed
P4-2.79GHz processor/.99GB RAM
I'm uncertain if anything on my system restricts port 7502, but my firewall is not.
-
WinXP Prof. SP2
P4 3GHz, 512Kb (HT)
1024 MB DDR2 RAM (Corsair, 4x256)
router port 7502 is open, and firewall deactivated.
ce terminates without error message after character- selection
-
Win XP Pro SP2
AMD AthlonXP 2400+ (~2000mhz)
768 mb Infineon.
No Firewall/Router.
D2 doesnt even start after upgrading to 7,51b. (It does with 7.51a + Org LoD)
-
To check if it is correckt, i have wrote a small Program (@ Moment only for Values in Chaos Post).
You have only to Copy it in your D2 Folder and run After the Chaos Program. It will schow you, if your values are the same

OK
tested many DLL versions with Roemml
And, without any code changes it now runs at his PC
We only decompressed the DLL...
So, as stated, not a problem in dll, in code or in that way
The issue is somewhere in your software(win)
this explains, why a user has fixed it after format c:
seems that some system dlls are not 100% fine...
upx compression is used in many many DLLs to save space
I attached the uncompressed version, of the one before..
Funny is, same compression, on the dll before, has worked for all(probably some unknown people have had issues)

I HAVE PROBLEMS! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! *Waaah*!
Now that this is out of the way:
OS/CPU/RAM/Video:
Win98SE, Duron 1400, 512MB, Matrox Millenium G450 (drivers for D2LOD: Direct3d)
Problem type: Random crash/exit from program, nothing left on desktop.
Problem environment: 7.50, 7.51, 7.51/7202 SP/Online all.
Behavior is unchanged wether the D2LOD CD is in the CD/DVD/RW drive, or a Blindwrite/Daemon-tools image is mounted.
When it works, it's GREAT and works for hours on end.
When it decides to crash, it just crashes!
Please advise if there are debug switches to get log file of events, and who is interested in looking at the dump (or coaching me through the log file as I look for the culprit). Anxious to stop crashing, anxious to be of help.
-
Bei mir läufts mit der neuen .dll auch wieder, thx Chaos
-
With the new .dll, my CE seems to be working fine again. Thank you very much for helping me out.
-
warum schreibt ihr Trottel alles in Englisch ?
-
Der einzige "Trottel" hier, bist sichtbar DU!
-
Der einzige "Trottel" hier, bist sichtbar DU!
>> Der einzige "Trottel" hier, bist sichtbar DU!
Are you guys talking about posting things in English in this thread?
I'd greatly appreciate it.
For the record, I had crashes every 3-5 minutes for a *long* time last night, must have totalled 50 crashes, but finally got the game to stay together long enough to clear the River of Flames, kill Diablo, make alizard-skin bra for my Zon, and the first 3 quests of act 5... so stability is *very* variable.
Some crashes occured right when the view changed (creating a decoy, opening or closing the cube, moving things around) others occured while I was just sitting back looking at things.
-
webwalker you are the only one haing such massive crashes...
probably your d2 install is not ok
did you ever tried to make a clean install ino ANOTHER folder
-
very very much thx C-energy it's working perfectly now, this mod is very impressive
-
