Title: Trouble picking up an item (again)

After the last time, not being able to pickup the "way out of Hell",
I restarted a new character, and proceeded through to Baal.
(This time i didn't do Charsi's quest)

I got to pick up "way out of hell",made the portal and played for a damn
long time in the laybrinth, but finally got "the King is Dead"

I collected the "Black Tower Key"
Then went and got "fought the seven"

Made the Scroll, and went to Tristram.

Killed everything and freed Cain.

Then went to the "Dungeons Forever" and killed "I need a name" and he dropped "Dungeons Forever"
But i can't pick it up ?

No to be put upon, i next tried the cave and got"Cave Man" but can't pick it up ?

same for the Catacombs

I finally went to the cow level, and (amn it big) got Moo Moo,

can't pick anyhing up ?


I'm getting a subtle hint here that there is something else i'm not suppose to do to enable me to one day complete this level ?


Any ideas anyone ?

That whole "quest" is bugged.  Do not talk to any townsperson, do not let anyone who joins game go to any act but act 1 and do not let them talk to any townsperson.   Im not sure but freeing cain before you fight the dragons might have an impact on the quest drops. 

If your still stuck, you can piggy back ride the quest from someone online (if you are in the CCC).  If your trying SP, dont worry about it unless your doing quest in LR or CGS....  PoC rewards is not worth all the trouble.

Playing SP off line.

I'm a little bemused at the amount of "bugs" seeming that the mod is at version 7.66 ?

Maybe i'd better go back to the original for a few months.

You have written you freed cain. Do you went to Akara to get your reward?

After getting "You are my hero" from her could stop you from picking up the words you have mentioned.

If you don´t went to her it could be the freeing him before could cause trouble, too.

You have written that the bugs makes you amused cause of the versionnumber. These new quest was integrated in the mod at version 7.65. And some of these "bugs" are depending on the needed workaround for missing modding possibilities.

Blizzard has not planed that someone changes their game in so many ways. :)
