Is anyone else experiencing their iron golems not staying in the game after they leave?
I remember in LoD that when I used an item that took forever to get and turned it into a mean golem, the golem would stay alive when I entered a new game. But I tried that a few times in Empire and my golem is dead upon new game and item lost. Is this intended now? A bug? If its intended can you give us our items back, I just wasted an IK maul >,<. Or at least make them really powerful (like quadruple the stats of the item since they will not stay alive if we leave or something).
Im scared to use my eyecatchers for a new golem with this problem.....
CE save me and my shiney metal friends!!!

I think the problem is a result from the increasing of the golem amount. Only one Iron Golem can be saved, when you leave the game (I tested it in SP).
I would not use rarely items like eyecatcher to build an iron golem, because sometimes the golems disappear in the game when they can't follow you (they get caught on corners).

Yeah but a golem made from t hose would be sweet ^.^ imagine one made from part of the uber set =^.^=

myself only used 1 iron golem in tests, and 1blood rest both other

what would *really* rock: if you make say 3 iron golems from the 3 parts of Cleglaws' set, then each golem gets the sum of the item attributes, the set boni for the item, and the boni from the completion of the set.... exept Iron Golem sucks because it gets stuck to walls or stairs and evaporates.

I think I got the part that you never tested more than 1 iron golem at a time, but the other half: Huh?

i don't think that this is possible ^^
btw i think he meaned that he used 1 blood,1 iron and the other golems he casted were clay or fire golems
you can cast 7 golems, so he could cast 5 more golems after casting blood and iron, that 5 golems are meant with "rest" and "both other" are the other two types of golems
so i hope you understand it now :D

Putting comupters together for grand kids..
I'd rather see the chance of a second merc or a colone of the character, about the 60 lvl.
Even a shadow warrior like the asassin's.
Of coarse I just an old gummy, who likes to wack, burn, dice, slash, freeze and use HRF on monsterns. Oh and pick up the good pieces. ???
Golems are nice till they wander off the screen.

Now that would be kool ... a rogue and one other. I myself would like to see that for the Barb and paladin in LR and CGS levels. Also that the mercs and Golems have a much longer survival life span.

As far as i've learned about the golems its always ONLY the first metal golem to be saved.
Aswell as if you have summoned any of the other golems before you summon your metal it wont be saved as far as i've learned in SP.
So if you want one to stick with you, lets say a "last wish" metal golem always make sure you summon it first and before anything else is summoned.:)

I try to make it clearer for CE and it can be done.
To make a clone of your character or your character's merc could be a skill.
(not so easy to do)
But as a spell / skill from a green set. (posibable? Maybe)
An Amulet or ring, of high level? (just don't know.)
Now the doll stash. (would need to be recoded and removing some of the benies it gives. Might be good trade off. It wouuld of coarse be a random thingy, granted by doll stah. More dolls could remove skill. think about it CE.)
@CE Know you busy and have limited time to even play with the mod. Maybe some of your elfs could figure it out. ???
Be a nice wringle to the mod.
OH NO! An other thought, Insead of so many golens how about just a merc clone. ???

Make a clone of your character: this is the skill Shadow Warrior. I haven't experimented to discover what skills the shadow-warrior *cannot* use, and thus the clone-of-player logic couldn't use.
To discover: Chaos would have to give "Shadow Warrior" as a skill to each class, like Berserk has been given to Zons, and then see what kinds of skills and gear do/don't work with this "clone of me" skill.
Clone of your merc: I don't know if clones of the merc can exist, but I never thought that multiple golems could exist either. We had a problem in 1.11 where an item had a % chance to cast Valk under certain conditions. It turned out that if this item was on a merc, then when the ability was triggered, the server crashed. Blizzard put out a fix that made the summon never trigger when on a merc. So there may be a problem with multiple mercs, maybe only with merc-based summons. We'd have a problem allowing multiple mercs: the storage space per character includes the merc's gear. Allowing a clone-duping of mercs (not Hakim, Floria, and Igor, just three of Hakim) is another question, to which I couldn't guess the answer.

The doll stash was my main idea.

Idea to maybe add some needed coding space..... since dolls abilities are unknown to all but CE, why not just remove doll images and just have the "souls" generate a random ability when cubed (like it picks the properties of a random doll). Maybe all the saved graphics would open up some space for CE to add more things to the mod?
