Title: TCP/IP PROBLEMS
Post by: sidekick39 on May 06, 2005, 01:55:58 am
I am running 2 computers, I upgraded both to 7.57.  The first one is working fine now. However when I try to start a tcp/ip game, as the second computer is in the process of loading the game, the first get kicked out with a warning access violation.  If I try to start a sp game on the second computer I get the failed to create game bad header warning.
What do I need to do now?

Well, I downloaded the 7.57 upgrade, opened it with winzip, and then moved the files into the diabloII folder.  But when I start the game in the credits and in the upper right corner it still says 7.55.  Did I not do the upgrade correctly?  Forgive my ignorance, I know just enough about computers to be dangerous to mine! ;-)

ok  so it would seem that both machines are running 7.57 but only one is working.  I have tried to uninstall all the way down to normal d2 and then reinstall back up to CE 7.57.  Do I next need to do a complete re-install?

only one of them is working.  on the other one i get the unhandled acception error.  If i start a tcp/ip game on the one that is working, and join the game with the 2nd machine, the first one gets kicked out with the unhandled acception error.
