Title: CE with just an internet IP ?

HI,

a friend is considering CE so we could play from time to time together. Does CE work if we just link together over internet via our IP address without using oficial account on CE server (one of us being the server)?

As long as you both have the same version of CE installed.

Should work like TCP/IP
But u can only use ur SP Chars.

Ive played an IP game with someone before so i know it works, but like Shinlos said, since IP games are like Open Bnet, has to be Single Player Chars, the files are stored on each persons computer instead of a server =)

No problem there, just me and a friend playing. We had bad experience with Bnet so we like to be alone. Maybe later on, we'll join the realm.

Alway remember that the chaos empire realms are not battle net - so if it were not technical problems - just try - people should help you rather than cheat you if you treat them the same way
