The Morph Amulett were disabled, cause the place in the Diablo2 files is limited and was needed for other recipes.
-
uh... thanks...
Allright then... Where I can find working list of cube recipes?
-
You find the actual recipes in the Itemlist.
You can find a actual itemlist for offline usage at the download section.
-
ugh, how hott wouldent it be to run around like a King Leoric, or Butcher...
I got facinated with those two characters ever since i played D1 back in the early days :D
Had many hours trying to get past those.. many bad tries but some success aswell ;)
-
yeah i remember that... it was hell getting past those, but I digress.
I haven't played the game yet, due to some technical difficulties, but I can tell already that I's want to be a Chimera.
-
Forget Chimera, try turning your merc into the Butcher =^.^=
-
hehe yea talking about butcher.. one mean stalker :D

Just wondering, wouldent it be possible to add this ability so that one can take it "on/off" for those you wanna have it on and those for off ?
Kinda like activate MOD/deactivate MOD
Just pondering about, id so much like to try that leoric out.. :D

There is one file in the MOD that has such limited space, that the implementation of other features required scavenging the space used by the morph ammys. Also they were a strain on the server, possibly because the impage/sprites were larger.
Still... having and Iron Wolf (fire) merc with a Diablo morph ammy is just *too cool*.
So, alas, (not "a lass") the morph ammy is dead and gone. You can revert to an earlier version of the mod, create a morph ammy, and re-install the current version of the mod, but that character that has a morph ammy will crash on loading. Likewise a character with an old teddy.
My son had the wish to keep a Butcher morph ammy on an assassin (MA) character, team up with parties, and whenever in a place where the butcher could be encountered, put on the ammy and charge (BoS) towards others characters. They'd TP to town, and he (being a party member) would follow... just for nervous giggles...
but, alas, the morph ammy is dead and gone.

ahh darn.. well one can only look back in awe and remember the days of glory.
Kinda like the days without cheaters in cs..hehe
-
uhh... and other stupid question i have =)
What is it - "Crafted Charm" and how can I get it? I didn't find anything about it in ItemList/Cube Recipes... :( May be I'm should by beter glass for my eyes? 0_0
-
The crafted charm (known as the "token", too) could not be found.
This charm is for Singleplayers downloadable in the Singleplayer Support Items.
And for online players only available about the token-holders (i´m one of them).

also gibbet jetzt keine chance n neues butcher amu zu kriegen????
mfg

Edit: Webwalker: Thus there is no more ability to make a Butcher ammy?
(This is the International Support forum, please self-translate to English)
-
Nein, in der aktuellen Version sind diese nicht vorhanden und auch nicht mehr nutzbar.
Edit: Webwalker: "No, in the current version these (cube formula) are missing, and moreover, (morph ammys are) not usable (if made in previous versions)."

€dit: Sorry, next time i will take a look in which section the thread is posted. :)

hmm, i don't think so, i've got some really old morph amus in my sp shared stash an the are still useable, ok maybe in next versions that could change and i will have to throw them away, cuz then they crash
-
wait but if you cant use dolls to make morph ammys wth are they good for
-
To put the dolls in the dollstash and get new skills. ;)
For some cube recipes and so on...
-
im assuming i'll find a doll stash later in my journeys and as for cube recipes as of yet i havent seen any i've been looking them up while i waited for a responce
-
You find Wirret's leg in the Darkwood Forest. Cube it with two Horadric Scrolls (on a new char you have 6 in your inventory) and you will have a dollstash ;)
Itemlist
Look under "Cube Recipes". There you will find "Generate Set Item Recipes", "Generate Unique Item Recipes", "Doll Recipes" and "Teddy Recipes" which all need dolls to work.
-
you mean Dark Wood, in Act 1, where it's dark as hell?
-
Yes, you will see on your mini map 5 shrines (looks like stones) in a circle with a wirt body under each and a unique monster guarding it. Watch for horks and good luck
-
i made morph amulets in 7.55, put in stash, upgraded to 7.68 and i have no problem useing the amulets.. SP tho..
-
a few amulets still work..all the other will crash the character
-
so, can you tell us which of them works and which could mean low performance on server and which can crash the char? or are the few just usable on singleplayer?
i am the one who loved them too and miss them after a long long pause on d2 an ce.
thx

Correct.
This is only for old amulets, which where made before the recipe was turned off. Some of them can be used in sp (if you find one on an old realm char), others will crash the char and you can not create a game which this char anymore (whitout removing the amu).
On the realm, all the recipes for the morph amu's are turned off, so there are/work none.
-
I just curious, but why is teh reciep still left in the readme if we cant make them any more? I spent a while looking for a good amulet for morphing to find out it doesnt work :/

I don't have a readme by now, but can it be, that there is a certain version number indicated for those recipes?
If you are uncertain about some recipes, have a look at:
http://chaosempire.eu/d2items/index.php?action=cube
That should always be the current version.

1: You can make a separate install of D2-LOD-CE for a version that has the morph ammy cube recipe, and create morph amulets there. Place them on "naked start" characters, and move the character file from the old version to the new. If the char doesn't load, that morph recipe can't be used even indirectly. Repeat until you have the ones you want that will carry over.
2: If I recall correctly (and the memory is old) the amulet generated is RE-ROLLED so it doesn't matter what attributes were on the old ammy.
3: I've never tried moving a "naked start" character from a new version to an older version, which (if it works) you can do to move the boss doll to the old version from where you find it in the new version where you can work the morph ammy recipe.
4: A morph ammy made with a character doll would be cool. I look like a paladin (because I have a morph ammy on my barb character), my rogue looks like a necromancer (for the other morph ammy).
-
You can create the morph-amu in an older version and put it into the shared stash. You dont need to get the old character working in the new version.
-
well ok i suppose ill hafta try that :p i made a hammerdin "summoner" back in teh day and it was amazing..
