Topic: Hydra bow problems

I've yet to find a hydra bow.. either dropped or through gambling (which really surprises me).  So far my bowazon is only lvl 91 and trying to get through the snake temple.. but I made a test toon and tried to gamble a Hydra bow with no luck.  I'd like to find a nice rare hydra bow for temporing and runewords.. but even more I'd just like to find a Hydra bow.. hehe.  Am I not in the right spot? Not the right lvl.. and shouldn't a lvl 96 test toon be able to gamble one?

I'm not using the latest version of CE.. but I do have the last version before the new aura was introduced.  I'm hesitant to download the new version of CE because of it.  Not only because of all the post on how rough it was (although I think its been rebalanced), but to tell you the truth.. I think I liked 7.55 the best so far.

Take a Long War bow and 2 Moderator dolls, or one Gothic bow and 1 Moderator doll, and make a Hydra bow.

Cube said Hydra bow with rare charms until you get a Hydra bow with the mods you want; temper & socket & RW to taste.

Current version is fine... Disco aura is a challenge but not brutal.

Disco Aura was unfair when it first came out in 7.61. The frequency and the fact it went through walls made any area like barracks or crystal caves unplayable. It was tamed in 7.62, and probably too much. It was easy to negate and not really a nuisance. It's great now, it drains enough to affect gameplay but not unbalance it. You should get 7.63, I don't think you'll have a problem with it at all. If you don't like it, install 7.61 and see how bad it could be, you'll love 7.63 after that.
