The tavern of Geglash

About gems: Go to Gheed, to trade, and check his "magic" tab.  There you'll find gem bags for sale.  Each gem of any quality, chip, flawed, normal, flawless, or perfect gem, one at a time in the cube with the corresponding gem bag, will transmute into the bag.  If there were two of that quality in the bag, the new gem will cube up with the two that were in the bag and appear as a gem of the next higher quality.  A gem bad with 100 perfects in it takes less "save space" on disk than 100 perfect gems, so it's a good deal for keeping the 'save size' down.

Likewise, Lysander sells oil barrels, and alkor sells body parts jars.

In my account I keep one mule with all rumes, plus a set of barrels and jars, and mule all these parts to this mule rather often.  This keeps my character files a bit smaller.

o0o thanksiez I didnt think I would have space for another character but cool Ill grab them :D

Offline, there is no limit (until your disk is filled).  However, starting the game takes time, which increases as your number of characters increases.  There's a *practical* limit of about 100.  Likewise, there's no limit to the number of shared stash pages (until your disk is filled) but there's a *practical* limit that I've never hit.  The bigger the shared stash, the longer it takes to create and join a game.  I've not gotten above a thousand pages.

Online, there's a limit of 18 characters per acount, and a limit of one account per registered gamer.  That's one for runes, oil, and body parts, a few for rare gear, and characters you build.

Have fun!

btw

long time ago, i was so stupid to move all ladder chars form a season into my d2 save folder...
now i m greyed hair, my pc still tries to show me the last char, diablo2 autopatches itself to much higher versions every day...spiders are walking the logo...and diablo walks now...with a wood in his hand

I tried the same thing... I came to the conclusion, I need to upgrade my machine... 3GHz and 2GB and RaidScsi should do it...

I looked at some bacon and wondered if it was from a boar or a sow, and was it a Razorback or some other breed?  Conclusion: Hambiguous.

1776 but that's another thread.
