Here you can choose between fire and ice, i preffer fire because ice leaves you most time without a corpse for the deathsentry.

If you have the unique charm with freezes target, you also have a good chance to pierce random immunities of enemies, therefor i don´t miss the cold damage at this time. I´m a1 start of hell at the moment.

You posted this in another thread.

My question is about "you also have a good chance to pierce random immunities of enemies"

This charm gives you this chance? How does this chance work? do any other items give you such a chance?

I have seen monsters with immunities, that suddenly lose them for no apparent reason... could this be due to this charm? or is it something else?

I am VERY curious on this topic, if anyone else has something to add, please be my guest.

ZenPdH:
For some reason u r able to pierce random immunities with the ability to freeze an enemy. The charm or cham rune gives u that ability. Also some skills have that ability (freezing arrow, glacial spike, ...).

So if u have one of the skills or the charm / cham and u hit an enemy and freeze him up, in most cases he will loose his random immunity (if he is imune to cold that it surely doesn't work ;) ).

Hope that helps u a little bit.

Lotus:
yes i figured that it had something to do with the freezing effect.

another question on that.

i noticed that this mod, has varies values, Freezes Target , Freezes Target +3 and so forth,  what is the differance between say a Freeze target item, and a Freeze target +3 item? and can / does it effect this immunity peircing?

ZenPdH:
As far as i know, the +3 just indicates how long the target will be frozen.
The normal length is 2 (secs) i believe and is just shown as 'freezes target', everything that is above 2 will be shown as 'freezes target +x'. There should be no differance in the effects except the length.

That's how i explain it to myself.
Hope that i get it right ::)

Olfmo:
i found the following explanation at indiablo.de i try to translate the gist of the whole thing:

2.10.3) Treffer friert ziel ein / Hit Freezes Target / freeze
Dieser Effekt bringt einen Gegner zum Stillstand.
Die prozentuale Chance CtF betraegt
CtF = 5 * (Bonus * 4 + atLvl - dfLvl) + 30

the chance to freeze ctf is 5 * (Bonus * 4 + atLvl - dfLvl) + 30  i assume the bonus is for example three if there is freezes target +3, what atlvl and dflvl is i don't know i try to look it up
the freezing time is a random value between 27 and 2*ctf +25 frames

the other sentences don't matter right now -.-

/edit: found it :)
atLvl Level des Angreifers (attacker level)
dfLvl Level des Angegriffenen (defender level).

should be clear now :)
