Run CE mod in Wine/Linux

Has anybody tried to make this mod work under Wine in Linux.  I saw the LOD screenshots in the WineHQ website and really want to try this mod in Linux but not sure how to go about the business.  Any hints or tip will be greatly appreciated.  Thx.

can ttell you about the game in play mode, but many of the servers run in a wine session..
it is not as stable as in windows, put good enough for playing
there should not be a difference for the game in play mode

THat's good to know, at least it will rune in Wine.  I'll have to try it out.

Just did a fast google search of Wine & Linux. ;)

Found a listing of running D2 with Wine requiring the use of a Linux game crack, but no listing
for D2 LOD.... 

It seems possible to run at least D2 with Wine & Linux, which is very nice.  Since I'm an old DOS hand &
HATE Windows.

Wine is still under development, (DARN), but it is free in some cases, like Linux.

Has anyone run D2 LOD with Wine & Linux on-line????

People have run LOD with Wine, see www.winehq.com for details.  But I haven't been able to get it going after trying a LOT of the suggestions.  I  have not seen reports of CE running in wine yet.
