@skill assignment on mercs: Something to consider is that there is a fixed limit of 8KB/character, and everything that defines the Merc counts against that limit.

I've verified that a richly-endowed character (lots of rune words in rare items on character and merc) can save & exit & start a new game... and find that many items are now missing from the cube and/or stash, and that recently gained levels and waypoints are lost.

So: Regarding ability to assign skill points to your merc... doing so requires enlarging the amount of data stored for that merc, which decreases the maximum amount of stuff you can pack in your stash & inventory.

This notion also applies to things like socketing boots, gloves, or charms.

Fixing this (or enabling skill assignment on mercs) requires changing the assembler code of the game itself... a skill we do not have (it seems).

Ich bin dafür das die Skill-Oils abgeschafft werden.

Imo ist es doch so, das wenn einer einen gewissen Gegnstnd benutzen möchte, diesen meistens ölt damit er weniger Punkte in die Stats (str/dex) setzt als notwendig wären. Ich bin der Meinung, wenn jemandr zum Beispiel ne Rüste tragen will die ne Anfoderung von sagen wir 232 Str hat, dann sollte man auch diesen Wert (gesetzte Punkte +dem was von Rest-equip/Charms kommt)  errreichen wenn man das Level erreicht, das für diese Rüsse (oder was auch immer) tragen kann.

Dann müsste man auch die Odgens abschaffen. Ist imho das selbe Prinzip. Entweder sammelt man Odgens und statet Str oder man sammelt Skill oils. Wo ist das Problem ?
