download folder problems

I'm running SP 7.50 ver CE on a 1.2 mhz XP Pro windows. half geg ram.. 
Using dial up modem with Netscape brower.
When I try to download from the download folder: my machine goes into a loop, after the dialog box for saving to disk comes up..

This has been going on for sereal days.

I have also tried; mogzal, firefox, and EI as the browser.

Are others having a problem downloading from the folder in the foruam????

My access to a DSL conection is very limited... @%$!##*&@##!

if you're experiencing problems with the download section try this link and for further usage use the url: www.chaosempire.info to log on to this site, choose forum there and then the dl-section.

But in some constellations there can occur problems like he told (that the download start and endlessly beginns a new download) with the correct link, too.

Chaos said then you have to click in your browser the stop button, so that no new windows with downloads will be opened. After that you can use one of the many windows do download the wanted files and close all other windows.

I have the same problem and can tell you that it works for me.

The stop method did not work for me, but the first link from Blueman is working. I had the same result with EI and Firefox.
