Heh, instead of creating different topics, im gonna ask my questions here...

What do you use dolls for more then create horrible amulets that sucks your life and creating elite, exceptional items and unique's  ?

And by the way... Thanks for all your help, and ChaosEnergy for creating this wonderful mod

Like you can read in the readme.htm you can use dolls for:

1. put it in the Dollstash (created by Wirts Leg and two Horadric Scrolls) which gives you additional skills, i.e. Find Potion.

2. the seven character dolls (Amazon etc) together in the cube gives you three books of wisdom, each one gives a char of your chioce 5 mio. exp

3. the Ghost doll can be used to make items etheral.

4. the Moderator doll can be used to upgrade a existing item from normal to exeptional or from exeptional to elite. The stats of the item stay the same. But the levelrequierment rised by 5/7 or 12 levels.

5. the Suicie Minion doll gives you the possibility to clear the sockets of each item, the content of the sockets you get back, too. But if you have a tempered item (darkgreen color) then it could be that your bonus from the tempered will get lost.

6. The other dolls from the hellforgequest at act 4 can mostly used to cube additional skills to your teddy. A list of what doll is for which skill you can find here at the forum under the section archiv-version history.

7. creating special items like you have already seen.

Im trying to change a normal Pike (NON-magic/rare/unique/set) into exceptional, i tried putting in a moderator doll, a heart, a perfect amethyst and the pike into cube, and hit transmute... Nothing happened? did i do something wrong ?

The recipe has changed.

You only have to put the mod doll and the item you want to upgrade in the cube. Bodyparts and Gems are not needed anymore.

I made a warpike from that Pike i had, and tried putting in 12 p. skulls for 6 sockets, but after cubing i got 4 sockets, did i do something wrong again? O_o

The maximum number of sockets a item can get depends on the itemlevel, i think that the itemlevel of your pike wasn´t high enough to get 6 sockets.

btw. you know that you can use all perfect gems, not only perfect skulls, to make sockets in items?

I don´t exactly know what itemlevel the pike must have to get 6 sockets, but 4 sockets have a minimum of itemlevel 55.

Ah, I see... The item level of my pike was 27, but got only 4 sockets... How do i increase item level? Finding the item at a higher level, or?

You can cube it with two magic (blue) charms oder one rare (charm) to raise the itemlevel, and the item gets magical or rare quality and new stats, depending on what charms you use

You can raise the itemlevel too, by cubing the item with a healing potion, then you get a superior normal (white) weapon or with a mana potion, then you get a etheral item (grey).

But in any of these ways, you will loose the stats of your actuall item, i think this won´t help you.

The only other way to get it with higher itemlevel is to find, gamble or buy it in higher charlevels or higher monsterlevels.

I got up to itemlevel 99 with a mana potion and a ogre axe, then put in 12 p.gems in the cube with the axe, and all i got were 3 sockets? o.O

the maximum of sockets for an ogre axe is 3

maybe ogre axe can only take 3 sockets

The ogre axe can only have a maximum of 3 sockets. The maximum of sockets is like the value in original Lord of Destruction.

You can check these maximums at the normal fansites for LoD. I don´t know a english fansite at the moment, but [u]here[/u] is a link to the official blizzard site with these informations.

Set item recepie... Put in a doll, 5 rare jewels, and a russet armor, nothing happened... (Trying to make Kingpin's Skullders Ire)

first of all: please do dont double post there's a button which puts you two posts together

perhaps you tool one of the quest dolls (hellforge or a5q2) they don't work for these recipes...
