Once I get through Normal level, then maybe I will play online.  As for my character, I had two backup copies, both were corrupted - one was on a second hard drive (everything else on that drive works great), 2nd backup was on CD - only Diablo2 related character on that CD that was corrupted.  The last time I played Chaos Empire, the power went out before I exited the game - I think that had something to do with it.  I think I will definitely get a UPS soon - outages are becoming a little more frequent in my area for some reason.  :(
