Socketing Items

" 1 socket item -> 1 item + (Socket Amount +1) black Oils"

Does Black Oils refer to any of the oils?
So if I wanted 6 sockets I would put in 7 oils?
Does this recipe work on Uniques or Superior Items? or just Rares, blues and normal (non superior/white) items?

uh, what a recipe o_O The correct recipe to socket any!! item type is the double amount of perfect gems. So if you want to have 3 sockets take 6 perfect gems and so on.

Edit: in LoD you could socket a unique only with one socket Akt5 Q1. In CE you can socket a unique with the amount of possible sockets of the item type (but no gloves ond boots).

U can also socket amus(1), rings(1) and throwing weapons(varies) now with the amount of fields they take in ur inv.

The oils socket recipe was an old one (ver. 7.49). Now u have to use pg's as explained by ThreeD.

in 7.49 it u were only able to socked soemthing with perfect skulls ;)

I believed that 7.49 was installed on jen before the reset in this year :blink:
I played there for ~ 3 month an always socketed with oils.

The pskull recipe was on ccc at 7.49x i think?!?!?



But all that is unnessecary, 'cause now we play 7.55 and u socket with the double amount of pg's ;)

Most boards that I've posted to perfer that you start a new topic, as long as, you are not obviously spamming the board to raise your post count, or that topics of the posts are completely different subjects.  

One post was questions about socketing items, the other a discussion on the anti rush features.  By putting them in 2 different threads it help keep the thread from becoming confusing and makes it a lot easier to find information later on.  It also gives people a much better idea of what is being discussed in the thread.  Some people may not be bothered to read yet another dumb question about socketing items, but they might be interested in reading a post about the anti rush feature.

Either way it doesn't matter to me.. your board.. your rules..
