question about a2 norm merc

i was just wondering im using a jab\prayer merc on a2 norm, how does the aura work with him, does his aura go up a level when he levels or is it random on the skill level of his aura or is there a set amount of level that stays the same, coz when i get hurt, my health goes down some but it goes right back up again.

I am pretty sure that aura level lvls up with merc. Maybe 1 aura lvl per 3lvls of merc or  something like that.
