when is this 7.55 bug

i don't mean to complain, but i just wanted to know if anyone was working on this 7.55 bug where nothing happens and it won't load, plenty of people are having this problem, as well as i, i've heard nothing of CE doing anything about it so i just thought i might make a thread about it, seeing as how no one seems to be hearing any of the other ones.  i've heard about 7.55 800+ uniques, i've been wondering why in the world CE would make more than like 200, 800 is crazy...but cool, i've heard you can't buy runes anymore, not that i bought them that often seeing as how two runes is 1mil but, it just makes getting runes more painful, of course they're are hella stronger rune words.  but anyway i hope this 'bug' or w/e the freak it is, is at least trying to be worked on or something, i know you just got back from making a whole new....era of chaos but...getting this bug away will probably save alot of time for different things for the mod

i dont know anyone having still issues...
there have been a link to a dll, which solved all the issues

the dll is also contained in te refresh package of 755, which replaced the old download 24h after publishing

My 7.55 "crash and vanish" problems all went away after 2 days of frustration.

I re-installed D2LOD, then downloaded and installed 7.55, and happyness blossomed! :clap:

This probably got me the new dll.

My 'feedback' is a request for an up-to-date page of the CE/7.55 recipies and features.  :wallbash:

Can/will gloves and/or boots be socketed? There are indicators in both directions. :blink:

Has Corpse Explosion been weakened?  It should do 1/2 damage to physical immunes, but seems to do them no damage at all. :blink:

The "3 spleen and belt" recipe failed when I tried it on a Razortail, do these 1-time upgrade" recipes work?  I've seen evidence that some of them do. :blink:

wands and shrunken heads have a low enough price that gambling for them *makes* money over time. :beer:

OVERALL I've started Chaos Empire, and I've *never* gone back to D2LOD on battlenet!  :s662:

- boots and gloves won't be socketable
- making money with gambling is normal :thumbup:

i'm not talking about the port change dll, or the ccc thing, i'm talking about the problem that some people are having to where d2 won't start, read through some topics, some people are saying that when they try to start d2 with the new 7.55 package on, all that happens is: the cd spins, nothing loads.  i believe there are some complaints about this problem in the topic: 7.55.

We talk about this problem, too.

Most of those users can now play with the new chaosempire.dll. The definitiv reason is unknown til now, but with other compressed dll and a change from chaos this will hopefully help you, too.

semms that you maked a mistake with activation/deactivation

try repair.bat in org_110 folder

all repair.bat does is deactivate CE and deletes my activator, if i try to reinstall 7.55 it still does the same thing, even with the new ccc realm package.

repair.bat makes a rollback to lod, hopefully you have had version 1.10 before :P
in your case it seems that there are still *ce or *.org files left

The stash in A5 is in the bloody foothils at its northeastern edge (right from shenk)

and YES there are thousand+ new uniques, but not all yet and listed. At chaosempire.net/sets.html you get a fresh list of the new sets (at least) and in the CE unstable forum there is a thread dealing with the new rune words. Look here :)
One hint: Many new unique charms were included  :thumbup:

Well if we are start talkin about this, can you suggest me some sorc shield(Runewords if possible. I have all runes so..), because i am still using the start-set shield :( my sorc is already lvl 81. Thanks.

use stormshield and sock it with ums/zods/bers/facets, what u need

well, ok this whole topic was pointless.  i'm not sure what was wrong with it but it started working after i removed everything from the d2 folder after uninstalling it, however, what's that ccc realm package for, i didn't put that on and yet mine works.

omg everytime i posted how to install it right i said uninstall it exactly, that includes cleaning d2 folder + rgegestry, if u didnt its was clear that it didnt work. howerver now it works hf

Try gambling. Base item is Kite Shield. With a high level char (your lvl82 may do) there is an increased chance on either elite and unique items.

Stormshield still is the best shield for defensive play.

If you prefer offensive shields, get some of the new sorc mirrors and add rune word spirti or else you like to get +skills :)

Yeah, i do prefer offensive cos i have 6k mana and mana shield so i am kinda protected :D

Than try Spirit. But beware: You have to use Exceptional or elite version of the sorc mirrors because the normal versions can't get 4 sockets. Spirit as we all know is

35% Resi to all except poison

And more...

But no Increased Chance to block / faster block rate, so you should look to get some rare shield with these affixes.

EDIT: Since its not allowed to post twice in a row here. I ll just ask it here. What is max faster cast rate in this mode? I had like 180 fcr, but then i made spirit i have 212 and i think i got even faster :blink:

Hi,

first of all look here...
The plot of the thread although german native is quite simple. Tables were listed for each char class describing the faster cast rates and the gaps on how many frames an cast attack leads.

For your sorc. e.g. there's a gap at FCR 200 (from 8 frames per attack down to 7 (FpZ means frames per cast :)  )

At 600% you get access to tne next frame gap....and that is kinda realistic cap - meaning that it is hard to get armor/items/charms that will lead you above that value ;)...

In LoD the gap was 200 as you mentioned correctly, yet there were no charms with that attribute to find...
