Quick question on upgrade of teddy
« on: June 30, 2011, 03:44:22 am »
I am slightly confused on how this recipe works
- Your first Teddy
- Small Charm (crafted)

Adds to existing item:
2% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items (Based on Character Level)
1 to All Skills
1 to all resistances (Based on Character Level)
7.5 Defense (Based on Character Level)
2 to Vitality (Based on Character Level)
Small Charm (crafted)

My question about it is how do you craft the charm i feel like i just missed something simple. but i've looked over the cube recipes and i cant seem to find one where you would craft a small charm i feel like i honestly just looked over it but any help would be appreciated.

The Crafted Charm is available for home/offline use in the Helper Stash you can download from the CE download area.

Online, you need to contact somebody with the crafted charm, and (when they enter your game with you) give them an un-identified teddy charm (the teddy looks like any small unique charm until you cube it with a horadric scroll).  This must be done in a Normal/PoC game since Coldfire drops runes in the other difficulties.  The person with the crafted charm will cube your new un-identified charm with the crafted charm generating this enhanced Teddy.

For At Home:
That cheatpack file will explode a mumble.sss file for HC, and a mumble.sss  for SC also; each one is a shared stash file.
Copy your current stash file to something, and copy the cheatpack .sss file to the name yours has (probably _LOD_ChaosEmpireTradeStash.sss)
Set the cheatpack stash file you're using to be read-only.
Fire up the game, get a mule char, go to the stash, and you'll see good stuff.  Take it all  Keep it in your inventory, don't put it in the stash.
Save and exit.  (You'll see error pop-ups because the shared stash can't be written (you made it read only), just finish the exit from the program.)
Now switch back your stash file names, and fire up the game again.  Grab the same mule, and put the stuff in the shared part of the stash.

This may seem to be a foggy description since I rarely play at home.
