Well, to answer your topic: I guess a Necro-Summoner is always the best choice if you want to play a safe char. If you play with mages, you have no problems with PI's and a summoner is always easy to equip with MF-Equip.

If you are playing a hurri drui and having problems (anywhere), you have done something wrong ;)
It is one of the strongest (melee-)chars nowadays.
