rune word, tempered items & Death, Sharpness potions

Old Gummy here:
In SP, ver1.10 LOD, CE ver7.70, tempered & applied rune word to several bows.
Used death & sharpness potions on them.
Death potion would raise the min damage but not the max damage sat.
Sharpness potion had no effect on the damage.
Is the a bug or what?
Never noticed this problem before.

There is a maximum of all the stats in d2 and with the oils you can reach one of them relativly easy.

The max of the damge is 63min-127max.

The only possible way to get this higher is a runeword. Then you can oil the item before the runeword (63-127) and after the runeword is inserted you can oil again (63-127) up to a total of 126-254. But be carefull, if you erase the rw, everything (tempering/oils) what was put on the item after the rw was inserted, will be gone, because those stats were saved 'on the rw'.

That does not seem to hold true as a limit. Just used a death potion on a tempered, rune word bow up to 147 - 1102, two hand damage. I'm running D2 LOD with the CE mod. I had not run into a problem using potions to add stats to items before.

he didn't mean the absolute damage, but the attribut "increased damage by XX-XX" this attribute has a maximum at 63min-127max dam

i guess when there is a zod rune in the RW it may be that the damage raises from 126-254 by another 1-50 to 127-304 i'm not absolutly sure about that, but i once had a weapon with "breath of the dying" which had mor than 126-254

btw, other maximums of attributes are: 7skills, 107ias, 491% increased AR, 511%ed, 2037defence(by oils)
