Topic: Connection interruption

Hi,
After a long break from chaos empire ive finally bought my wife a new computer so we can play again
We have the wireless network setup and can multi(she logs into my game) but everytime she goes to save and exit it says connection interruption and drops out which means if we dont jump on a waypoint or something most of her last actions, finds ect are lost!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a PlugY problem I guess, as PlugY has some problems with TCP/IP games.

You should do the following before 'Save & Exit':
- Hit <Return> to open the chat.
- Type '/save' (without the quotes) and press return
- Now 'Save & Exit'

It does not prevent 'Connection interrupted', but it (hopefully) prevents a rollback.

do you use latest CE version 7.68?

lower version have had newer plugy versions, but they are much more "buggy", so i did a downgrade of plugy in newer ce versions

We  are currently using the 7.65 version but will upgrade to the 7.68 version and give that a go!

The version on my computer is working fine but my wifes version just opens the web page here and that is it.
We are both running iso`s of my own legit copy and legit cd key and never have used any form of hacks or cheats ever!

I should also mention that im running xp pro and my wife has vista home(ive selected xp compatabilty)
Am getting my wifes dvd drive replaced today as it died the second day we had it but will run the disc then, but prefer iso`s as they run so much faster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

do you make any use of the shared stash, or the extended stash (both functions of plugy)
if not, we can try to disable this part

Yes we use the shared stash as we both have multiple characters.
If we jump on  a waypoint before leaving that makes it save hey?

I have that "just open the browser" effect the first time I start CE, but the second time CE starts up.  I think it's the fact that Yahoo! Messenger (YIM) is always started on power-up, and CE shuts down YIM, just as YIM shuts down CE.  Does she have YIM started at power-up?

No we dont have Yahoo on either Brian.

Have just restarted playing again after fixing my computer this time and have been flat out working!
