Looking for fastess server / no connection

HI guys
Start  CE it loads and get connecting to the fastes server notice / screen.
It runs for a minute or so and switches to the you have no connection error screen.
I have done hot and cold reboot which unsauly clears this problem.

Now I know my DSL and router are still up and working.

If the server is down, Okay then, that I can understand, other wise could I have some help PLEASE.

Sorry to make you sad, but the server runs fine. I was in a game just a few minutes ago.

Just rtied again still the same problem.

Used two restore points, turned off firewall, un installed & reinstalled firewall, still no connection to server.
Diablo & CE next. Grrrrr

Reinstalled Diablo LOD & CE 767.exe, still no connection to CE sever....
Question, would the fact that I have not donated this month have caused a problem? ???
This is starting to bug me BIG time.
Is there any help out there?

Tried to connect with ver 766 with no luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From back up of old ver that worked...
Is there anything else I can try to connect to the CE Server? ???

Just did three different things:

1. I cleared up more space on the C hrd drv where CE is installed, space had gotten a little tight.

2. Then I defraged it.

3. Set up the DSL again after I was able to get a clear shot to it. The rest of the family was using it nearly nonstop. <SMILE>

NOW I'M BACK ON-LINE WITH CE <whaahoooo>

I think it's a toss up between 1 & 3 or a cobo of them as to why I could not get on-line. i'm also running the 767.exe full version rather than the update. <smile.

I hope this will help others who have problems connecting to CE.
As for b-net, I was unable to connect. I'm still using the 1.10 patch.
Should I be using the 1.11 patch? ???

You can use the D2 original patch you want, Chaos Empire has all needed files to run under 1.10 if activated.
